What to expect
The SOLIS100 study (Study of Long-term Isolation): The international study, conducted in cooperation with ESA, is taking place at the research facility :envihab of the DLR in Cologne. During the study, six international crew members will live in isolation as a team in a space station analog, separated from the outside world. Our goal is to further investigate the effects of long-duration space missions on human health, performance, and well-being.
Your tasks
Mission support:
- The so-called Ground Control Centre (GCC) will be staffed 24/7 throughout the isolation phase. The mission support team will serve as the point of contact for the crew at any time. In addition to event-related communication, mission support meetings are scheduled regularly.
- The main tasks of our mission support assistants will be to monitor the crew and to document various events or incidents occurring during the day as well as during the night.
- The team works in shifts (early, late, and night), including weekends and public holidays. A minimum of 19 working hours per week and flexible availability are required.
Your profile
- Friendly and open communication within the team as well as strong English language skills are very important to us. We offer comprehensive insight into the processes of a complex and unique space related study.
